Training takes place every Saturday afternoon on the lake at 2.30pm
From March-October training also takes place on a Monday evening at 6.30pm and a Thursday evening at 6.30pm. During the winter we train at 6:30pm on a Tuesday.
How long will a session last?
A typical session last about 90 minutes, including boat loading and warm down. Usually, you will be paddling for no more than 1 hour.
What should I bring?
All equipment is provided including buoyancy aids and paddles. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothes (not jeans) and old footwear. Bring a change of clothes as yours may get splashed.
Dragon boating is a great team sport. Bring a sense of fun and some money for the bar afterwards!
Do I need to be fit? We all started dragon boating for different reasons. For some of us, it was a fun way to get and keep fit.
